From the rich, red volcanic soils at the foothills of Mount Kenya comes this classic, sweet, sparkling Kenyan washed lot, hand-picked by the members of Kibirigwi Farmers Coop and delivered to one of the eight Kiangai washing stations in Kirinyaga region.

Choosing a favorite coffee growing region of Kenya is like choosing a favorite child. ST. ALi adores them all and is heavily biased. More than a few of the ST. ALi roastery team would request a washed Kenyan filter as their last meal if it ever came down to it. That said, Kirinyaga has been topping the list in recent years, delivering lot after lot, year after year of outstanding quality showcasing the best of classic Kenyan flavours, from the crisp and sparkling citrus-y styles to the rich and sugary blackcurrant-y, cranberry-ish and cola sweet styles. ST. ALi has been positively swooning.

This lot is no exception, on the sweeter side with syrupy notes of blackcurrant and honey.
