This coffee is produced by Ivan Junqueira Ribeiro at Fazenda Cruzeiro, located in the Campo das Vertentes region of Brazil’s Sul de Minas. Established in 1923, the farm has been carefully managed for generations, with a focus on quality and sustainable practices. Today, it spans 1,021 hectares, with 381 hectares dedicated to coffee cultivation. Harvesting at Fazenda Cruzeiro involves a combination of manual and mechanical techniques. For microlots, only the ripest cherries are carefully hand-picked to ensure maximum quality. After harvesting, these cherries are dried slowly on traditional cement patios — a method that enhances their natural sweetness and complexity. This approach reflects the farm’s deep commitment to producing exceptional coffees that truly express their terroir. This lot of Yellow Catucaí showcases the skill and care that go into every stage of production at Fazenda Cruzeiro. Grown at elevations ideal for specialty coffee, it highlights the unique characteristics of the region.
