Tasting notes: Nectarine, dried strawberry and toffee.
Coffee breakdown:
Origin: Mozonte, Nicaragua
Variety: Catuai Rojo
Process: Washed
The Las Colinas community coffee is named after the municipality of Mozonte in Nueva Segovia, which means "between rivers and hills" in the Nahuatl indigenous language. This region is renowned for producing exceptionally high-quality coffee thanks to its elevation and micro-climate lending itself to slow maturation of the cherries and elevated sweetness and cleanliness in their coffee.
Generations of experienced coffee families have been living amongst the clay loam soils here nestled in the Dipilto and Jalapa Mountain ranges and pride themselves on their commitment to preserving traditional Arabica varieties with a focus on entirely quality oriented production.
