In 1878, two monumental events shaped the future of the family’s coffee heritage: João Manoel Franco, Dulce’s great-grandfather, planted his very first coffee trees at Fazenda Pinhal do Campestre. In 1990, Dulce founded Sítio Belém, a name derived from the Hebrew word for Bethlehem, meaning “House of Bread.” This name carries strong biblical significance, symbolizing a place of nourishment and abundance. Today, the farm sits at an altitude ranging from 1,100 to 1,200 meters, where the family cultivates exceptional varieties including Mundo Novo, Arara, CD2 Arara, Rubi, Geisha, Paraíso, and the award-winning Catiguá.
